Susan Coakley, President

Ms. Coakley is responsible for leading overall company strategy, managing the company's day-to-day operations, developing programs and services to meet the needs of new and emerging markets and preparing the company for future growth. Previous to her role as Interim President, Ms. Coakley served as the organization's Chief General Counsel. A graduate of Connecticut College, she earned a Master of Public Health from Yale School of Public Health and Juris Doctor from Northeastern University.

Laurie Doran  CFO at BMC HealthNet Plan

Laurie Doran, Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Doran directs the company’s financial operations, including Accounting, Treasury, Risk Management, Provider Contracting, Medical Economics, Corporate Analytics and Procurement. Ms. Doran holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of New Hampshire and a Master of Public Health degree from Yale School of Public Health.

Kim Sinclair  Chief Information Officer at BMC HealthNet Plan

Kim Sinclair, Chief Information Officer

Ms. Sinclair, who has been with BMC HealthNet Plan since 2002, is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for the organization’s Information Technology division. She represents the Plan in government and industry IT forums in which healthcare related topics are discussed and strategies defined. She is a key contributor to implementing and managing Medicaid and government programs, including national healthcare reform under the Affordable Care Act. Ms. Sinclair is a graduate of Providence College.

Matt Herndon, Chief Legal Officer

Mr. Herndon leads the Legal, Compliance and Internal Audit, and Human Resources departments. He is responsible for all corporate legal affairs, including advising the organization on legal and corporate governance issues, supervising outside counsel and reviewing contractual arrangements. He also oversees administration of the MassHealth, Health Connector, and New Hampshire Medicaid contracts as well as general government affairs. He received his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and his A.B. from Bowdoin College.

Jonathan Welch

Jonathan Welch, M.D., Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Welch will lead the Office of Clinical Affairs and oversee quality improvement and strategy, population health strategy and delivery, regulatory adherence and cost saving initiatives. Dr. Welch has been an attending physician at Harvard Medical School in the Emergency Department at Brigham and Women’s Hospital for the past five years. He received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and did his residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Children’s Hospital. Dr. Welch received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin and a Master’s Degree in Health Policy from the London School of Economics. Prior to starting medical school, Dr. Welch received a Fulbright Scholarship to study multidrug-resistant tuberculosis in Peru with Partners in Health.

Michael Guerriere

Michael Guerriere, Chief Actuary

Mr. Guerriere leads the strategic and daily financial analytic functions related to the Plan’s multiple products and sectors (commercial, insurance marketplace, Medicare, Medicaid). He manages the division responsible for medical, actuarial and cost of care data analysis that drives contracting, marketing, and pricing strategies and acts as a principal advisor to the Executive Team to set long term strategic direction for the organization. Prior to joining BMC HealthNet Plan, Mr. Guerriere was an Actuary at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. Mr. Guerriere holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of the Holy Cross and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
