BMC HealthNet Plan was rated 4 out of 5 in NCQA’s Medicaid Health Insurance Plan Ratings 2018–2019
CHARLESTOWN, Massachusetts –

The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) released its annual Health Plan Ratings last week.  We are pleased to announce that Well Sense received a rating of 4.5 out of 51.  This makes Well Sense one of the highest rated plans in the nation and the highest rated Medicaid plan in New Hampshire.  Our MassHealth product also did well with a rating of 4 out of 51.

NCQA ratings are based on three types of quality measures: measures of clinical quality from NCQA’s Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®2); measures of consumer satisfaction using Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS®3); and results from NCQA’s review of a health plan’s health quality processes (performance on NCQA Accreditation standards). NCQA rates health plans that report quality information publicly.

In 2018 the Plan also completed an NCQA accreditation survey.  MassHealth and Well Sense achieved Commendable Accreditation status.  QHP achieved Accredited status, the highest status available for QHP plans.
