Providers who submit claims electronically to BMC HealthNet Plan have reduced
their administrative costs, and their claims are paid up to a week faster than
before. Nearly 65% percent of our network medical, behavioral health and
hospital providers are submitting claims electronically, and here’s why you
should be one of them.
EDI provides several important benefits:
-
Faster
claims turnaround
-
Quicker
payments
-
Fewer
keying errors
-
Reduced
administrative costs
-
You can submit claim corrections electronically too
Since 2003, BMC HealthNet Plan has been accepting and processing provider
claims electronically using clearinghouses such as Emdeon
(WebMD/Envoy/McKesson), ProxyMed/MedAvant, or the SSI Group. We also accept EDI
claims from providers who send claims through NEHEN, and providers who can
submit claims directly to us. In addition, BMC HealthNet Plan can provide
electronic remittance advices to those providers submitting electronic claims
directly.
If you have a relationship with Emdeon, NEHEN, ProxyMed, The SSI Group, or any
other clearinghouse or billing agency, contact your representative at the
respective clearinghouse or agency to say that you would like to start
submitting your claims electronically to BMC HealthNet Plan.
We also encourage direct submission of claims for any provider using the 837
claims submission format. Only those providers submitting claims directly to
BMC HealthNet Plan can receive the 835 Electronic Remittance Advice at this
time.

our EDI FAQ.

faster payments, so don’t wait – start submitting your claims
