BMC HealthNet Plan recognizes that a range of emotional, social and behavioral issues pose a major threat to the overall health and quality of life to many of our members. As a result, Behavioral Health Services plays a central role in overseeing and managing members’ mental health and substance abuse access and treatment. The department’s activities focus on:

• Tailoring care-management approaches to individual needs with attention to behavioral health and medical conditions
• Programs addressing the special needs of members diagnosed with health conditions or chronic diseases, and social situations requiring significant care coordination and community support
• Contractual arrangements with community resources representing a full continuum of mental health and substance abuse levels of care.
• Ensuring culturally and linguistically appropriate care to our members, whenever possible
