If you've ever had a health question but weren't sure whether you should see your doctor, our Nurse Advice Line can help. Call us 24/7 to speak with a trained nurse and ask your health questions. The nurse will ask you some questions either help you treat your problem at home or direct you to your doctor or emergency room.

When should I call?

  • When you or a member of your family is sick, hurt or needs healthcare advice.
  • When you're not sure whether to go to the emergency room, make a doctor's appointment, or treat your problem at home.

The Nurse Advice Line doesn't take the place of your primary care physician (PCP). It is important that your PCP provides or coordinates your care. But the Nurse Advice Line can give you answers to your healthcare questions.

What advice will the nurse give me?

After talking to you about how you're feeling, the nurse will:

  • Help you decide if you should see your doctor or go to the emergency room
  • Provide helpful suggestions for how you might take care of yourself at home
