Benefits Highlights
BMC HealthNet Plan offers employees a full range of benefits that are highly competitive by industry standards. Our benefit plans are designed to provide you with healthy lifestyle choices. We hope the flexibility and comprehensiveness of our benefits enable you and your family to live a healthy and full life. Listed below is a brief summary of our benefit plans. BMC HealthNet Plan reserves the right to modify or terminate any of these plans at any time.
Medical/Dental Plans
Two medical plans are offered through Tufts Health Plan, and dental coverage is offered through Delta Dental. The Plan and employees share the cost of this coverage with employees paying a portion of the premiums. The employee portion of the premium is paid on a pre-tax basis through payroll deductions. Coverage for medical and dental plans takes effect your first day of work.
Alternative Health Insurance Benefit
BMC HealthNet Plan offers health insurance to eligible employees and contributes to the cost of such coverage. BMC HealthNet Plan also offers a financial benefit to eligible employees who decline the Plan’s insurance coverage because they have alternative group coverage. Employees who are eligible for the Plan-sponsored health benefits but obtain coverage under another group health plan may decline the Plan benefit and receive $50 per pay period. Employees must provide written proof of other group medical insurance. The other medical coverage cannot be Medicaid, Medicare, COBRA, a parent’s insurance, or a plan purchased as an individual.
401(k) Plan
Employees are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan effective the first day of hire and may contribute a minimum of 2% of annual earnings up to the maximum allowed by the IRS. Employees 50 years of age and older may also contribute an additional “catch-up” amount in accordance with IRS regulations. After six months of service, employees are eligible for up to a 6% company match. The employer match is 100% for the first 3%, then 50% for the next 4%-9%. The 401(k) plan is administered through Fidelity Investments.
Flexible Spending Accounts
These plans offer employees the opportunity to pay for out-of-pocket health (medical and dental), dependent care expenses, and parking associated with public transportation with tax-free dollars. Reimbursements of expenses are administered through Benefit Strategies. Employees are eligible to participate the first day of hire.
